JULY 2026

NOAH'S HOME MTC/GETTING SET APART
We talked a lot about where he should set up for home MTC and he settled on the family room!  Kinda funny, but we were supportive.  He didn't want to be downstairs far away from everyone.  I get that.  So we got out the table and set it up right in front of the fireplace with the rolly chair.  Got him all fitted with my laptop (which was a bummer because in my head I was going to work on my books while he did home MTC), some highlighters, sticky notes, and a notebook and journal.  He was all set!  We even got some black vinyl to cover up the ugly table :).  That made me happy.  It was getting pretty ugly.  He had to do his first day of HMTC without being a missionary.  Which actually worked out because his first day was his p-day.  Kinda strange.  He had a couple classes in the morning and then it was nothing til about 6:00.  He was not wearing a name tag and had not been set apart which felt weird to me, but he did fine.  Pres. Larsen couldn't set him apart until the evening.  Girls Camp.  It was a late appointment, but we all got dressed up to go to the stake center at 8:30 for Noah to be set apart.  This was really special.  I loved hearing all the things the Lord has in store for him and all the things he was blessed with.  I was grateful to hear a lot of it.  I am so pleased with how seriously Noah is taking everything and that he is willing to sacrifice these two years.  He is all in.  There's not a hair of him that is hanging back.  I think that is unlike most guys as they leave.  He is a step ahead if you ask me.  I'm so grateful for the Priesthood and the power I know he holds and will have protecting him.  Missionaries are special and precious to our Heavenly Father.  I'm so excited to hear how this all looks for Noah.  7-1-2026

NOAH HMTC
Noah was very diligent and didn't seem too bothered by HMTC.  There were a few times where I think he wished he could kick us all out of the house, like on the 3rd of July when we had the whole Maynes family over for 4th of July celebrating.  That was nuts.  The internet doesn't work downstairs very well which was the preferred substitute while everyone was here.  So he tried going outside and then everyone wanted to go play basketball.  It was tough!  I felt so bad.  He was tough and didn't get too frustrated with it all.  But not the most shining moments of course.  We missed him during the parade on the 4th, but he did get to come to the park with us for fireworks.  He had to leave early with Grandma and Simon, to get home and to bed on time, but we did get to have some fun with him.  We loved eating out almost every day, all his favorites before he goes out into the world of no Panda Express.  Who knows, maybe they have Panda Express in Buenos Aires.  We finished getting everything he needed on his packing list as well.  He was all ready to go.  This was a very long two weeks for the rest of us, anticipating having to say goodbye... oh and not watching any tv- HA!  We survived.  7-1-26---7-13-26

4th OF JULY
We had a fun 4th!  We went to our parade as usual.  Brad went to a different one with Megan, wearing his fun flag overalls with no shirt and a flag painted on the back- that was a funny decision we talked about for months later!  Funny sunburn of course.  We didn't do much in between the parade and the park for fireworks, but it was a nice relaxing day.  I'm pretty sure we played a little Bananagrams and some other board games.  The park was a lot of fun.  Noah kept seeing people he knew and just a few missionary fans.  We were in our usual spot.  Grandma and Simon, Grandpa and Laurie showed up to party with us.  The Maughans rolled in right before the fireworks.  We played spike ball, frisbee, and just relaxed on the blankets and chairs til it got dark.  This was a really great show!  I was glad they didn't scrimp after telling Laurie that it was going to be the best one she's ever seen.  Sadie watched it without covering her ears!  I was so proud of her!!   Charity too for that matter!  It was a late late night, waiting for the traffic to clear before getting in our car.  Didn't take too long to get home though.  Good stuff.  7-4-2026

ALYSSA'S PARTY
On Tuesday, my mom came and got Molly and Sadie to drive them up to Alyssa's party up in Idaho Falls.  This ended up being a really fun trip for them.  Granmda went all out getting their favorite treats and spoiling them along the way.  They were the oldest kids at the party and ended up having some fun with them all.  They had lots of cute stories that I am not remembering now (2 months later).  But this was great.  I was glad they got to go.  7-7-2026

DATE WITH ERIKA
We finally decided to just go on a date!!  This was a nice time once Erika picked where we were going.  We drove over to Station Park after much deliberation.  And Erika chose to go to Costa Vida.  We had a lot of fun chatting and people watching.  I am so grateful that Erika will let me hang out with her even though she's so much cooler!  I am sure it is a sacrifice.  I am grateful though.  This was a great time.  We decided our next date will be a play!  7-9-2026

DATE WITH JACK
Jack and I have been dying to go see Young Washington ever since the previews were out- so this was exciting!  I loved watching it with him!  He humors me so well :).  Good date!  I don't think we did dinner with it.  7-10-2026

SADIE'S 7th BIRTHDAY
We had so much fun celebrating Sadie this year!  She was showered with gifts from the Clarks in the morning.  She and I slaved over her cake all morning- I came up with the perfect recipe for sand!!  Powdered sugar and brown sugar with some sugar sprinkles!  It was so awesome.  Then we headed over to the Farmington pool for some swimming!  She was happy!  Meg and Chris even came.  Jack was unable to swim with his cast so he sat with me.  He and I had to go somewhere, now I can't even remember where.  But we slipped out during the swimming part.  We came back, picked up everyone, headed over to Dominoes for the pizza and came home for food and cake and creamies.  It was a fun day.  Poor Noah had to do his class with everyone here.  Kind of crazy.  I think Sadie had a good time.  She felt celebrated.  Loved her gifts.  We tried to get free slurpees, but who knew it only goes til 7:00!!!  I didn't.  We paid for our slurpees and all was well.  Sadie asked if we could go to Gailey park to drink them.  That was fun.  Meg and Chris were so fun to join us!  7-11-2026

MTC TOUR
We took so long getting onto this zoom we missed most of it, but Noah got the general idea and knows a little more about the MTC.  I don't think he actually cares- I think he's just so ready to go right now!!  7-12-2026

LEGO NIGHT
We wanted to do something that would get Steve over so Noah could say goodbye to him.  He doesn't really do Farewells and stuff, so this was our only chance.  We decided a Lego night would be the perfect thing!  We had to reschedule from a different day because of Steve's work schedule, but we finally made it happen the Monday before Noah had to leave.  We grabbed a few sets for those of us who don't have them laying around.  This was a really fun activity!  I hope we do this again soon.  We all did our lego sets at the table and chatted it up the whole time!!  So fun!!  Let's see if I can remember what everyone did.  Nate did a tractor- he didn't love this activity as much as most of us.  He struggled.  We shouldn't have gotten him the Technic brand.  Their instructions are not as good.  I did a cute cherry blossom branch coming out of a vase.  Loved it.  Charity did little potted flowers.  Hunter did a car.  Steve did a cool little robot guy that shoots things.  Brad did not join us for this unfortunately.  But he doesn't really enjoy doing legos so it was okay.  Noah did a red car.  Erika did a parrot and flowers.  She also seemed to not really enjoy this.  Jack did a droid from Star Wars- he was in heaven.  Molly loved it as well and did her microphone after taking apart the record player.  Sadie actually really loved it as well and did a cute little pet truck.  So fun!!  I thought this was the perfect activity even though it's not everyone's favorite, but good stuff!  I think it was fun to have Steve- I wish we could have him more.  When I texted him after to ask if he had fun, he said, "Everyone was laughing at my jokes and I got to do Legos, what's not to love!"  There ya have it.  7-13-26

KELLY AT GIRLS CAMP
One of the great distractors.  Kelly got called into her ward's young womens and was then invited to Girls Camp.  This was actually really great timing for her life- in my opinion- I could be way off.  But for the most part it sounded like she had a lot of fun.  I was grateful she had something to do while we were sending off Noah and while she was recovering from her bad news.  7-13-26--7-18-26a

ERIKA AND YOUTH LACROSSE WITH MOLLY AND SADIE
We signed up the girls for Erika's team clinics.  The first day went a little rough- Sadie saw someone throw up and she got nauseous.  I went and got her and brought her home- I think she also had something on her clothes or something, now I can't remember- but I brought her home and then she chose to go back, with only 20 minutes or so left of the clinic.  She was bummed about all that.  The next day she did just fine.  I think Molly enjoyed it!  And ERika loved having her little sisters there.  Good times.  7-14-2026--7-15-2026

BOWLING TRADITION
Tuesday night we all met up at Bountiful Bowl (Charity and Hunter even made it- and Brad after he went to Boondocks first).  This is our missionary send off tradition for some reason :).  We go bowling the night before.  It was fun.  He was in his missionary clothes and there was another sister missionary there, which was funny.  We should have talked to them, but we didn't.  We all had fun bowling.  I think we also felt a little sad that this was it with Noah.  Everyone is going to miss him so much.  It's hard to see these guys go.  You get so attached to them and they are so much fun before they go... it's just sad.  But we will survive!  Bowling was fun- we stopped at Baskin Robins for some ice cream at Charity's request :).  And then we needed to get our missionary home to bed.  7-14-2026

BARBARA'S FLOWERS
Barbara finally gave in and let us do something for her.  She had back surgery and is not supposed to bend or twist.  So we got to do her flowers!  Molly and I ended up doing them most of the summer.  This was our first day.  I did the back, Molly did the front.  It seemed like we took pretty good care of them!  Barbara over pays.  7-15-2026

NOAH MTC
He had most of Monday off and Tuesday the whole day was set aside for traveling, so he didn't have anything.  We finished packing, got it all set.  Forgot to put the luggage tags on everything of course.  And he was all ready to go.  I don't remember what we did that morning.  Probably just stressing about every little detail.  We loaded up to leave around 11:00, headed down to Provo Chick-fil-a-- another tradition- and had lunch outside by the mist-ers from the drive thru.  Kind of a funny spot, but it was fine.  Noah seemed so ready!  He was feeling really pumped.  It was hard if I thought about missing him, so I tried to focus on just being proud of him and how far he's come.  I mean, two years ago (in just two days from here) he couldn't walk or talk or use his right side.  But he's already so locked in.  I am so excited to see how it goes.  After lunch, we drove over to the Provo City Center Temple and walked up, took some pictures, and walked back to the car.  Not quite the pause and enjoy each other moment I'd wanted, but it was okay.  He started to tear up a little hugging everyone which was hard.  We got in the car, drove to the MTC.  We are too big for the parking garage so they just loop us around.  They're always so nice to let us get out and get a picture.  We did a quick one of all of us and then a group hug one.  UGH!!  So hard!!!  I couldn't even look at him after our hug.  He was crying too.  It was really sad.  He took off with his luggage and we took off in the van and that was that.  We bawled all the way home.  Luckily, Sadie was not feeling as emotional this time.  She seemed more freaked out that the rest of us were crying than anything.  I decided it might be less traumatic for her now that she knows they come back.  We went and dropped off Charity and Hunter at their car at Chick-fil-a and made the long trek home.  It's such a hard drive.  We all had our letters from Noah and that just makes it worse.  He wrote me a really sweet letter, meant a lot.  He's going to be such a great missionary!!  I have no doubt about that.  I know the Lord will look out for him and he will be protected.  I'm not worried about that at all.  I just hate the thought of my day not having him in it.  Not seeing him every morning, setting his shoes and back pack next to the couch before sitting down and studying his scriptures.  He's such a good boy.  I will miss him!! That night was the ward pool party.  We went, but I really wasn't feeling it, so I was just going to go home after the food.  Fortunately, Sheila Barcklay came and sat by me and we talked the whole night away.  I didn't need to leave.  7-15-2026

We spent the day kind of reminiscing and going through old videos and I got stuck on the ones of Molly eating when she was little.  I had a lot of them for some reason.  It's pretty funny.  So I took another one today.  She's fun to laugh about it with too.  7-16-2026

LUNCH WITH PAPPY- SLACKWATER PIZZA
We shook things up this month and went to Slackwater!!  Crazy right!  It was a nice time!  I really enjoyed talking about how things went with Noah.  Even if my dad didn't really enjoy it.  7-16-2026

ENDOWMENT SESSION WITH NATE AND BRAD
This was a nice change of pace.  It's been a minute since I went ot the temple- felt even longer than it had been- but we had a nice time there.  Such a great recharge.  7-17-2026

LITERAL PRINCESS
I went to lunch with Brad after the temple and my new favorite thing was on his list of goals he put up under the visor in his car is that he wants to treat his wife like a "literal princess".  I love how much he loves his wife already.  She's going to be a very lucky girl.  I love that Brad sets goals for himself and strives to meet them.  He is a good example to me.  7-17-2026

DATE NIGHT

CAMPING AT CURRANT CREEK RESERVOIR
This camp was a good one.  We spent a lot of time Saturday before getting ready.  Nate rented a big trailer on Monday and loaded that up along with cleaning the house Monday.  We were very prepared.  I was happy about that.  We had kind of dumbed this trip down a little so that it was easier- not as much food prep- etc.  I think that was wise.  On the drive there, around this marshy little area, we got to stop and watch a teenage moose!!  He looked really cool!!  Moose are just the coolest.  He's standing in the water, taking huge bites of grass or weeds or whatever it is growing out of the marsh and then looking up at us.  I wonder what he was thinking.  We got up and explored the new site- we opted not to camp at Lost Lake where we usually do which happened to get flooded a little before this, so maybe an inspired decision.  So we were going out into the unknown this time.  We looked around a little and found we were camping on a cliff basically- with the reservoir at the bottom.  Then if you walked down this zig zagging trail you would reach a dock and the reservoir from a much more manageable elevation.  It was really cool how much space we had basically to ourselves past our camp.  We were on a bit of hill though, which is always fun.  We found the perfect spot to pitch our tent, careful to stay away from the evident flooding routes.  We knew it was going to rain so we were careful with our tarp and things.  Charity and Hunter put up there tent.  We got everything set up and ready to go.  It looked great!  We were there for four days, three nights.  The first night it POURED!!  Like really loud, hard rain for a good hour or two.  There was enough wind to get me praying and lots of lightning.  Surprisingly, not much thunder.  I didn't really get that.  But it was nice.  Sadie slept through the entire rain storm.  Kind of funny.  The  rest of us just laid there thinking it sounded pretty cool and hoping out whole camp wasn't destroyed.  And thanks to Heavenly Father and NATE who got up and tied down the canopy that was already tipped over and secured some other things- we did just fine!!  Nobody got wet!  I actually kind of liked the rain storm.  We used our cots for the first time (not counting Youth Conference for me).  I think they are a nice addition minus that they are so heavy.  We spent the next day just playing cards and exploring.  It was a little cool for the lake, so we just lounged.  We also had a date with Noah's phone call that we needed to drive into town for.  We had to drive much further than I had expected, but after some finagling and Charity pulling up her Google Chat- we were able to call him.  He didn't have access to Facebook at the time.  This was nice to hear how he was doing.  We sat in the car and everyone talked to him.  He was doing well.  I wished I'd had a more one on one with him, but it was all good.  We got some lunch at Chubby's and headed back to camp.  That took a lot more time than planned and when we got back it was still pretty gray and cloudy.  We were really hoping for some sun and warmth for the lake for the last day and we got it!!  I was so relieved.  We had a lot of fun on the lake.  Paddle boards and the canoe were lots of fun for everyone.  I let Jack take off his boot for the paddleboard.  He loved that.  Most of the kids got a little burnt, but Charity and Hunter were FRIED.  So sad.  We had a lot of fun tlaking around the fires and playing cards and stuff.  It was a really good, really chill camping trip!  I loved it.  I was grateful it was really low maintenance.  We did cook everything up there, which was different, but it was so good.  Nice to do something summer like.  On the way home we found the best restaurant for Gluten Free.  It was Dairy Keen that we stopped at with the Maughans when we stayed at their cabin many years ago- but who knew it was the solution to all our problems with finding something gluten free.  Jack was happy :).  It's too bad it's so far away.  We got home and fought over the shower and then relaxed the rest of the day without so much as a thought to the pioneers and their day... oops.  7-21-2026--7-24-2026

NATE'S 47th BIRTHDAY
Molly and Erika stayed up all night making the sign which turned out PERFECT!  We were excited for Nate's day!  We had plans with Grandma Ruthie to go to her market and then breakfast.  Jen came too.  Once we found grandma we were able to really enjoy things.  Nate loves markets- this was the perfect idea.  She bought Nate a pen and Jen bought him a wooden serving tray.  Everyone was spoiling him which was good.  We sat outside the little restaurant at a small table for breakfast which came really slowly and left out Erika's food.  They said they had gluten free, but not really.  And then it was time to go.  We came home, watched some Alone and then headed out for our movie!  Nate had decided to go to a movie for his birthday and the kids picked Toy Story 5.  It was actually really cute- I had very low expectations.  It was funny.  We came home and got the house cleaned up for his little party.  My dad, Laurie and My mom and Simon all showed up for some cheesecake and Ice cream.  It was a fun little hang out.  Nate was spoiled with gifts all day.  I think he had a good birthday.  We tried pretty hard this year to make him the focus, so hopefully he loved it.  One year older and wiser too... 250th ANNIVERSARY PUZZLE
My mom has been a little... well obsessed with the 250th stuff this year.  It's been cute and we got a puzzle out of her obsession.  Molly helped me with it mostly, but I think Erika did a few pieces as well.  It was fun!  All the states had some of their things that go with their state on the map of the US.  Very fun.  This was a cool precursor to Molly's 5th grade year!!  Thanks mom!  7-25-2026

LOTS AT CHURCH
Jack gave a talk in Sacrament meeting, Molly gave a talk in Primary, Sadie did the scripture in primary as well.  And while we were in the primary we met Sis. Snow from the Primary General board.  She was just visiting.  She was really nice and loved all of our family support for the talks and scriptures- Charity and Hunter were here and Erika joined in as well.  So fun!  This was also the day of Megan's farewell.  I wish we could have gone.  Sad day for Brad.  We also had our last Stake Youth Council meeting.  I'm bummed Erika is done.  7-26-2026

JACK BOOT OFF
We had Jack's appointment/x-ray to officially remove his boot.  He has done really well with this transition.  Not near the trouble of going into the boot.  Huge relief.  He's wearing a brace now for most things, but I think we're mostly done with this!!  I hope.  7-27-2026

SPLASH PAD WITH HEIDI KINDA
We went over to South Davis Rec to see Heidi and the kids.  She did mention that she'd have friends there, so we weren't too surprised when she ditched us for her friends after a few minutes of talking.  No biggie.  I had a good time talking with Erika.  We could have joined Heidi and her friends, but I wasn't feeling swimsuit-y that day, so I didn't get in the pool.  I think Molly and Sadie had fun with Porter and Alyssa and I know Jack enjoyed being without the boot for a while.  Erika got tan.  Good times.  7-27-2026

LUNCH WITH LEXI SANCHEZ
Lunch with Lexi was really good today.  She gave me a lot of pointers with the Type 1 stuff and we were able to talk a lot about all of it, which was nice.  We went to Hugs, which I had never heard of.  This is an extension of Hug hes, but smaller and easier.  I loved it!  It was supposed to be Lexi's late birthday lunch.  She's gearing up for her liver surgery!!  I hope it goes well!  7-28-2026

DATE WITH MOLLY
We did a movie and dinner for our date this time.  We went and saw Minions and Monsters and then went to the Habit after.  Super yummy.  I think she liked the movie, but it was one of those that kind of drags on, so we were both ready for it to be over when it was.  But pretty fun.  Minions was her favorite movie when she was little!  She'd watch the beginning of that thing over and over and over.  So funny.  7-28-2026

CAKE/CUPCAKES FOR HOLLY
We did another round of the cute snow cone cupcakes for Holly today.  Along with a groovy, shag carpet looking cake- they both turned out pretty cute!!  I was happy.  Molly got to go to the party- they were swimming at her cousin's house.  Her finger tips were all torn off and bloody when she got home.  So sad!  7-29-2026

PULLED PORK DINNERS
Nate and i were feeling service-y.  We had both had several people on our minds so we ran around delivering dinners to people that night.  Pretty fun.  I liked it.  7-29-2026

ECHO RESERVOIR
We made it up to a lake finally for some playing in the water!  This was a fun trip.  Just us.  Brad came for a bit and then left to go work, but he was a lot of fun while he was there.  Everyone got out in the lake and played on the paddleboards.  We were able to drive right up onto the beach and fill up our stuff with the car super easy, no hauling things around- super nice.  It was so cool when we got there, we didn't even set up the canopy.  Which we actually needed later, but never set up, but it was fine.  Everyone got some sun- Jack got A LOT!  He was in a lot of pain the next day unfortunately.  But it was a really fun trip!  I was glad we got to go do that.  I had to hurry and shower and get off to a meeting with the youth conference team leads where I proceeded to sweat and overheat the entire time.  It was extremely annoying.  7-30-2026

ERIKA LACROSSE TOURNAMENT
This was a new one for us!  Watching/playing Lacrosse in 100 degree temps!! It was SO HOT!!  Even under the canopy.  I can't even imagine how hard it was to play.  Erika did amazing though!!  We all loaded up the van and everyone came to all of her games!!  Brad evne made it to the second one on Friday.  It was a lot of fun.  Down in Sandy at Lone Peak Park- very cool park- huge!- but very cool.  On the Friday game we were able to go up to Grandma Ruthie's for a few minutes and have "shwushies" with Ainsley and Nancy.  It was quick but fun.  We grabbed lunch in between, ice cream on the first day.  It was a lot of fun actually!  Even if we did have to melt.  She won three of the four games.  And I think they were just getting used to playing with each other that first game.  Gotta learn who you can pass to.  Looked good though.  It was fun of Melissa to ask her to join.  I think she liked it!  She was the oldest one on the field and the tallest- which we're not used to seeing with Lacrosse.  She was also probably the best player out there.  So we of course loved it.  7-31-2026--8-1-2026

DATE NIGHT
We went to Spider-Man!!!  This was the best!!  I loved this movie.  Long awaited of course, so totally met our expecattions.  Marvel seems to be back!  I'm glad.  We went to Five Guys and Costco after.  7-31-2026

JUNE 2026

ERIKA BASKETBALL CAMP AND CONCUSSION
Erika set off for Eastern Utah State for some basketball camp with her team.  This was a tough decision since she was only going to be there until Tuesday night when I was going to pick her up for Youth Conference.  But she went!  She ended up having a really great first day- played awesome according to Packer- and enjoyed all her friends.  Then.  Tuesday.  I got a call from Hannah (her coach from last season) telling me Erika had fallen on her head, got a concussion and was headed back to her room to rest.  I was so bummed for her and also waiting for my van to get fixed, so I wasn't able to go get her right away.  Also, Erika had not sounded like she wanted to come home, so I wasn't sure what to do.  After a few more phone calls and once the van was finally done- I rushed down to Eastern.  I mean, I wanted to rush down there.  I actually got stuck in the craziest traffic I think I've ever been in!!  For like five hours!!!  Our original plan had me driving down there at 8:00, getting there by 10:00 and getting home by midnight.  Our new plan involved me leaving at 3:00, sitting through about four different car accidents on the freeway and not getting there til 8:00!!!  So annoying.  There was another girl who also got a concussion and so we were able to take her home with us.  So that was good.  But I was SO MAD that it took me so long to get there.  But anyway.  Erika had been playing so well Packer had to steal the phone from Hannah and tell me that personally when they called to check up on her the next day :).  Poor Erika.  6-1-26--6-2-26

THE NEW COUCHES!!!
We started working on these couches last summer!!  We did our 45 consecutive days of no eating downstairs with only a couple restarts.  Then we waited.  So patiently.  Mom and Dad kept saying it would happen and then it didn't.  We missed the Superbowl. sales, President's day sales, but finally got over to Living Spaces and picked out a sectional and sofa for our living room.  We tried out every couch in the place before settling on this one.  The Snuggler.  We stressed over all the different colors and styles of fabric.  We wanted something plush and fluffy and picked a dark version of it.  We put in our order and found out it would be a few weeks, which stinks, but it would get here in time for Noah's farewell.  So anyway- the day finally came!!  It was very thrilling.  We cleaned out the entire family room- tossed the old couches out back.  Made a path through the garage and sides of the house and waited for our turn.  They brought them!!!  We all couldn't believe how comfortable and how much we loved sitting on them!!  They are amazing!!  We sat on them for the next hour or so.  All the Clarkes had to come over and test them out with us.  They love them too :).  So fun!!!  6-2-2026

YOUTH CONFERENCE 2026
I don't think I want to do a play by play of this.  But it really turned out SO WELL!!  I was shocked at how well it all went and how amazing it was!  We all know that the only thing I would change is having the youth do more.  But other than that- it was pretty perfect!  I am not really sure where to start.  Jack had his broken ankle, so he almost didn't go, but then at the last minute he did.  It ended up being really cool that he was there.  He was basically my little buddy and side kick during the day/challenges.  He and I worked the wall together and he totally made my day telling me that he didn't mind sitting there with me the whole time because, "we hardly get to spend any time together".  Such a sweet heart.  He ran the stopwatch.  He did get to go and have fun with his friends quite a bit during free times and meal times and during the evening activities.  He crutched around the whole campground on his own that first day and then we got smart and started asking for rides in the golf carts from the sweet missionaries.  That was a blessing.  I worried about him less when he was getting driven around.  His diabetes sure gave us a lot of issues while we were up there.  Bad infusion sets, bad insulin, faulty dexcom- it was nuts and more than we bargained for.  But we survived!  Jack and Erika were in the same group, which happened to be so perfect!  They got so close with their team and each other they've even hung out a few times with everyone since then.  They had the privilege of having John Koenig cooking their gluten free food all week.  John went ALL OUT on the gluten free.  He totally gets it being celiac himself.  He made really great food and spoiled them with all kinds of treats and snacks.  I was SO grateful for this part of the experience.  He seriously went above and beyond.  Erika had gotten her concussion the day before going up there, so she was supposed to take it easy.  I don't know why I thought she could do that.  She had a good time though.  I think it was by heavenly design that she get the Livermores as her team leads.  She and Sis. Livermore had some moments together that I'm sure they wish they'd skipped, but they worked things out!  Erika did really well with all the team captain stuff and lead her team really well.  She was helpful with Jack as well.  She had kind of a crazy experience on the last night.  After her family's testimony meeting they were looking at the stars and had flashlights out and I think because of her concussion, she started to get really dizzy and disoriented and was feeling pretty nauseous.  Jack came and found me and I was able to go with her over to the Lodge and try a bunch of things.  She got some water and some potato chips for the nausea.  Krista Johnson came and offered her some sleeping pills and a blessing from Jesse.  Lindsey Cutler gave her some zofran.  It was a group effort and there were so many nice, willing men to help with the blessing, so that was really cool.  I was really grateful they thought of that.  She eventually went to her tent and slept just fine, but she was really struggling.  I almost called Nate to come get her.  

I really enjoyed being there.  I didn't have any real responsibilities so I did wander a little.  But I was working the wall all week, for every team.  This was a cool challenge.  They had to get their whole team except one person up the wall, then the last person was supposed to throw a paper airplane over the wall to their team and then the team was supposed to sit as still and quiet as they could and I timed them.  It was interesting.  I loved when Anna Jones said a prayer with Brroklyn to help her feel calm about going over the wall.  Such a good friend.  There were some really awesome teams who did really well and enjoyed it, but there were some teams who struggled so hard!  The tan team!  Of course they were the first and second falls on the last day.  The Lavender team was probably my favorite.  There was something special about that team.  It was interesting to see the different dynamics of all the teams and how they worked together, the level of competitiveness, the different styles of leadership and which teams were letting their captain lead.  It was interesting.  I over-analyzed it a ton of course.  Jack and I became good friends with most of the old missionaries.  There was one day when we were struggling with Jack's diabetes stuff and some other things were getting to me and of course, the guy who drove us down to the ampitheater that day was a man whose son has Type 1.  He's 26 now.  But it was so nice to hear his perspective and know that we might survive this!  Such a tender mercy from the Lord.  We were in charge of serving food every meal, so that was nice to have that responsibility.  Something to do and I loved being able to look the youth in the eye and talk with them.  I loved when Brock Hoagland helped Sis. Bliss get more comfortable and away from the stone fireplace when she was passing out.  So non-chalantly.  Very cool.  I really enjoyed spending time with my presidency.  We did a lot together.  The late night giggles that last night about Pres. Morrell and Sasquatches and Pres. Perry's guy in Alaska... so funny.  Hearing all of Bro. Richards' miracles.  Tina opening up to us and all of us being able to testify about Christ's Atonement and the power of His forgiveness.  That was pretty neat.  There were a lot of cool spiritual moments up there.  The times during the wall challenge when the Spirit was really strong.  We had an awesome musical concert that I loved mostly because of how the kids all sing along with the songs.  I love that they know the songs and that they love them.  I loved the song about Jesus signing his name for us.  If only John Pohlman hadn't killed the Spirit after that concert.  What else stands out??  Let's see:  Christa Skousen driving Jack and I around.  Finding the team with the giant bonfire on the last night.  Henry Bliss burning his hand because Annie Murphy told him to lite hand sanitizer on his hand and NOBODY suggesting that he should put it in cold water first!!  Weird!!  I enjoyed meeting a lot of new people.  I was REALLY sweaty the entire time.  Dripping with sweat while I served food was probably my least favorite part.  I hated how much room my cot took up in the tent.  It felt so huge!  But most of it was really awesome.  I was glad to have been a part of all the planning and carrying it out- pretty miraculous and the Pohlmans did an incredible job!  I was so happy to come home to our nice big fluffy couches when I got home though!!  OH YEAH!!  I forgot about the craziness when we got home.  I was annoyed that they opened the stake center because then we had to go in and clean up after everyone, but we got to see the family in our ward who was getting baptized that day!  That was cool.  THEN when they brought all the food back, we had to take it all off the trucks and set it out for wards to come get stuff for people in their wards.  There was SO MUCH FOOD leftover.  I couldn't believe it.  Took us a couple hours to get it all dispersed and then a lot of it back on trucks.  So much work!  Unfortunately, I was supposed to be at my house babysitting Briggs, so that ws awkward, but Noah helped with that.  But anyway- pretty cool youth conference!  Glad I got to be part of it.  6-3-2026--6-6-2026

MRI'S- NOAH
Noah was a big boy and went and had his MRI's done while I was at youth conference.  I don't know why I was nervous about this.  But luckily everything was fine.  6-5-2026

HOLE IN THE COUCH
When I got home from Youth Conference, I noticed a quarter-sized hole on the top corner of the new couch.  It wasn't noticeable from the front, but it was enough to send me to the phone.  I texted Nate and he had noticed it.  I remembered watching the delivery guys for a few minutes with the couch standing up on the driveway on it's side while they took the plastic off and thinking- that can't be good.  I knew Nate had a lot on his plate already, so I made the call to Living Spaces.  They were very nice on the phone, willing to replace it, but for some dumb reason they thought we should go without a couch for a month!  The funny part was when she said, "I see here that you also bought a sectional, so you won't be without somewhere to sit?"  UGH.  Oh!!  You're right! I completely forgot- what was I even thinking.  I had to tell them that we have all of our friends and family coming over for an event in a few days and we need the replacement before then.  I did have to escalate things up two tiers, but I got what I wanted.  I really can't be3lieve they wanted me to wait.  "We have to throw it away if it's been in your house for more than 21 days"  Me: That sounds like a You problem.  Seriously though, they made the hole- they should fix the problem.  6-8-2026

BIKE RIDES
Molly and whoever she can get to go with her- usually: Sadie, Bea, Owen, Moses- have been going on bike rides this summer!  They ride up to the Creamery, Dollar Tree, get courtesy cones at Arctic Circle... lots of fun adventures.  It's been really fun to see what they come home with.  I can't say it doesn't stress me out- but then I remind myself how old these kids are!! They just seem so young still!  6-8-2026

PICNIC AND PICKLEBALL WITH CLAIRE AND SKYLAR
We had a great time with Claire and Skylar at the baseball park.  We sat and melted in the heat, but then played some pickleball.  Its always fun to get together with Claire.  I love that the kids still love her too.  She's always so good to us.  Charity and Hunter made it even!  6-8-2026

NOAH'S ENDOWMENT
All these big things happening almost every day with Noah- it's so crazy and so exciting.  I really do love that he is making so many good decisions and that he is preparing himself for his mission and for life.  It's really awesome to watch.  He scheduled his endowment for 9:00 am.  He left early with Nate and then I joined them.  Charity and Hunter were there as well.  Along with Bradley.  It was a very normal session, but so fun to look over and see my sweet Noah sitting there with Nate and Brad.  I just love these moments.  Definite mom paychecks.  He seemed to really appreciated the experience and spent a LOT of time just sitting in the Celestial room, which I loved!  We all went to lunch after, that was nice.  It was really neat.  I'm so grateful for the Gospel and for the Temple and all the blessings I have in my life because of them.  6-9-2026

I got a bunch of new people recently so I tried to get to visiting everyone.  I got Melissa Giatras, Rhonda Naylor, and Elizabeth Walker with Kris Pederson as my partner.  Then Erika and I got Teresa Nye added to Karen Richardson.  We visited most of them and it was nice!  6-10-2026

We met up at Kitchen 88 and had a nice time talking.  She told me all about her job and some old jobs and a cool case she worked.  I feel pretty cool that i know her :).  I am loving that we are able to hang out more together and that we are reconnected.  6-13-2026

YOUTH CONFERENCE WRAP UP
This ended up going really well.  I think it would have been fine if we'd donw it the way the Youth planned, but it was great!  I was really grateful for all the youth committee who showed up and helped.  Erika jumped in and did the opening prayer when the need arose.  They all did a great job with everything. I was happy they got their cake for refreshments.  6-14-2026

DINNER WITH GRANDMA RUTHIE 
Grandma reserved the pavillion at her park and we all met up and had dinner together!  Super fun!  Grandma did her cute game with the numbers to get prizes.  She loves sharing all of her treasures.  6-14-2026

GLACIER NATIONAL PARK
This was such a great last minute trip Nate and I pulled off :).  We felt pretty limited with time, money, Jack in a cast, and just how little time we had, but I think it was a huge success!  We spent a lot of time driving in and out of the glaciers.  Unfortunately, the road that goes through it all was blocked in the middle so we didn't get to go through the whole thing, but we just went and around and came back the other way the next day.  It was so beautiful!!  And can I just say- Montana was pretty beautiful as well!!  I don't think I had any idea just how beautiful it is!!  Just rolling hills of green.  It was so cool.  And cool temps too.  We played in Lake McDonald for a minute- just throwing the colorful rocks and enjoying the view.  Some of the rivers and waterfalls were so pretty!  We didn't get to go on any hikes because we didn't want to do anything without Jack, but we still made him crutch around quite a bit.  We tried a really yummy pizza place- I can't remember what it's called.  It was really good.  Reminded me of Robintinos, but less greasy.  We had a couple bear sightings.  Erika and Noah saw the first one at our Airbnb when they were on a walk.  That was pretty cool and scary at the same time.  Then while we were driving we saw another one, just off the side of the road.  We could see him for quite a while before he got too far away to see.  So cool!  Then when we were checking out another beautiful view, on the opposite side of the road there was a mom and three bear cubs clear up on the side of the mountain.  They looked so cute through the binoculars.  We made our way up to the ski resort that was literally like five minutes away from our Airbnb.  We were able to do some fun things there.  They had really cool alpine slides that we rode several times!  Then the older kids got to go on a zipline.  Jack, Molly, Sadie and I all played yard games and chatted while they were gone.  It was actually a really fun day!  It was so fun to see everything in Montana and in the park.  We loved it!!  We struggled a little to find gluten free places to eat, but for the most part we did pretty good.  We didn't even come close to eating all the snacks we brought.  Three totes worth!  It was fun though.  The drive wasn't too bad either.  So grateful for one last hurrah with Noah!  6-15-2026--6-19-2026

SPEAK IN COLUMBIA HEIGHTS WARD
Brad and I got to go speak in the Columbia Heights ward together.  That was pretty fun.  I actually mostly enjoyed it.  I know SO many people in that ward- Becky, Krista Johnson, Natalie Chamberlain... lots of people!  It was pretty chill and even though I was nervous I felt like it went well.  Brad did an awesome job.  It was fun to hear about his friend Ruth who got to go to the temple.  Very cool.  6-21-2026

Sherry was in town!!!  YAY!!  It worked out perfectly that we could go out to lunch.  We met up at Cafe Rio again.  It was wonderful.  I'm so grateful for our friendship and the time I get to spend talking with her and the things we can help each other with.  6-22-2026

KELLY CAME!!!
I got to pick up Kelly Wednesday night before my meeting.  It was so refreshing to see her and be able to have her here for a little bit.  It was great that she was here for Noah's farewell.  Just really cool.  6-24-2026

KELLY ROUND 1
While Kelly was here I had the privilege of going with her for transfer day.  We had a lot of fun even though she was super nervous.  We were so worried about getting there on time and had to stop for gas and everything (the reason we left late was because Maddie came to give her a cute gift for her big day).  It was a little hectic, but we kept our cool, let's just say that.  Good thing we got there only a few minutes late because we had long like 40 minute wait (eye roll) before finally getting her relaxing pills and into the room.  She had her cute socks from Courtney and the clinic gave her some as well.  We got to see the cute little embryo on the screen.  I was happy I thought to facetime Devan.  It was a pretty special experience.  I was flattered that I was allowed to be there.  It was pretty nerve-racking for the next couple days before finding out that the implant didn't take.  Pretty devastating.  I know Kelly has prepared herself for all of this, but there's really no way to do that completely.  It was really hard on her.  And hard to watch from far away.  I really wanted to go be with her.  That wasn't the answer for her though.  I'm really proud of how she's handled things.  I hope she gets some relief from this trial soon.  6-25-2026--7-6-2026

ENDOWMENT SESSION
We all got to go to the temple for a session.  This was Kelly's first time with Noah.  It was pretty special.  6-26-2026

STOWELL FAMILY REUNION
This year it was down in Brigham City (Perry technically).  We saw Becky on the freeway which was fun.  We got there at the same time and I said, "I'm really sorry you guys didn't have scotcheroos in your car to eat along the way."  I thought it was so funny :).  I did eat one that wouldn't fit on the nice tray.  This was a pretty chill reunion.  We did a little worksheet my mom made for the time capsule, then ate.  It was fun.  I tried to talk to some people and some of them were fun to talk to.  I just don't enjoy these reunions as much as I used to.  I think it's just me though.  Nate met Joe.  That was good.  All the littles played together on the cool playground.  It was pretty good.  6-27-2026

NOAH'S FAREWELL
I tried really hard not to make this a horrible experience for everyone as far as getting the house cleaned up for it and everything.  We did pretty good.  Noah wanted Nate's pulled pork sandwiches.  I think I made a few other things- who knows- it's all a blur!  Noah did an excellent job on his talk!  I was really proud of him.  He talked a lot about his stroke from two years ago and the things he learned from it all.  Grandpa was wishing it was a longer talk.  We had so many people over to the house after.  Then half of them left- two of Noah's friends had farewells the same day and so everyone had to eat and run to the next one.  I was proud of Noah for sticking around and making his family a priority.  I think it was a hard decision and I think he was a little disappointed that nobody came back.  But he was tough about it. This is when it gets too real for me.  I had a hard time keeping it together all day.  But we survived.  It was fun to have everyone together to play a few games and enjoy the evening together.  6-28-2026

JACK CAST OFF
Well.  Ready or not, he got his cast off!  The doctor for this appointment was really lame.  I wasn't a huge fan.  He came in very non-chalantly, asked to see the bottom of Jack's cast and made a comment about it being a little worn- like he thought Jack had walked on it or something?  I don't even know- his foot was pointed down, so there's no way he walked on it, but he had been wearing it for a month through the first week of summer so I'm sure it touched the ground enough to wear it out a little.  I don't even know what he was getting at.  So that was weird.  Then he pulled up the x-ray and then quickly closed it while saying, "here's the x-ray, looks good, I would show you but it's hard to see with the cast".  Then asked if I trust Jack, to which I obviously said, "yes".  Who knows what he was talking about.  And then he left and sent in the tech to take off the cast.  Kinda weird.  This made it really hard when Jack was in too much pain as he tried to walk on it.  I couldn't get through to talk to the doctor to ask if he even knew that Jack has Type 1 or to double check to make sure it's actually healed.  It was crazy.  So anyway.  Eventually he was able to walk on it with the boot and did okay, but this was a stress.  6-29-2026

ERIKA- GIRLS CAMP
I think it was nice to have the planning of camp over with.  Erika had a lot of fun stories about Middie and the new girl, Lindsey being really fun to talk to, Keeley too, and Katelyn- they were all really nice to her and helped her when she was down.  She didn't love being thrown under the bus when things went werid with the secret sisters.  Overall I think she had a good time.  She enjoyed laughing with Middie and Elsie.  I was glad she was able to go and that she had fun.  Crazy that she probably only has one or two years left!  6-30-2026--7-1-2026

PACKING UP NOAH
I got to sit on Noah's bed as he went through all of his things.  He packed up most of it and got rid of some.  It's always so strange to remember doing this for myself 28 years ago and  realizing just how old these kids are.  He had a few boxes full of stuff and that was that.  Then we moved on to his suitcases and carry-on and got him all packed up to go.  It's going to be crazy to say goodbye in two weeks.  This was already too hard.  6-30-2026

YW TRAINING
I got to go to this really cool training meeting with someone from the General Young Women's board.  She was very helpful and said so many things that were reassuring about the new curriculum and schedule that got me really excited for it all.  I think it's so inspired and I am really excited for it all!!  6-30-2026

MAY 2026

TANGLED DINNER
It's been a minute since we did a movie themed dinner and this one turned out so perfect!  We loved it!  It was fun to have Kelly here for it.  5-1-2026

NOAH SENIOR BREAKFAST
This turned out pretty good!  I was grateful for all the help my cute family gave to set up and that went pretty smoothly.  In the morning, not so much!  I went a little early to do some last minute stuff and of course, I picked up the giant paper cup full of syrup from Kneaders by the lid and it of course slipped off, causing the entire HUGE cup of syrup to fall and splatter all over me, the table, the floor, everywhere!!  It was SO embarrassing, so sticky, and SO embarrassing!!  I had time, so I ran home and changed my clothes, but I really was pretty sticky all morning.  It was annoying.  But after that whole mess- luckily everyone else cleaned it all up while I was changing- HUGE EYEROLL!!!  I hate that everyone had to clean up my mess!!  Bro. Sagers got the mop out!!  It was crazy!!  But anyway- after that, I had to serve the seniors, but then it was time to sit with Noah and enjoy his company.  I loved seeing his cute baby picture and recent photo in the video.  It's so hard to believe we are here already with Noah!  It feels so unreal for some reason.  The clean up wasn't too bad, we got out of there pretty quickly.  Onto Saturday!  5-2-2026

GOODBYE KELLY AND DEVAN
We wanted to devote the whole day to Kelly and Devan and their last time with us for a while.  We ended up going to Slackwater Pizza in Salt Lake and doing a big kickball game!  Slackwater was amazing!!  I could eat there everyday!  I got the Gyro pizza.  It was delicious.  We all traded around and everyone had so much fun talking pizza all night.  I loved this time together.  I think Brad was missing, but we had everyone else, which was nice.  It's not very often we get everyone so I try to enjoy things regardless.  It was a lot of fun.  It's really hard to think about them being gone for possibly three years.  I am very excited for them though.  I know how good it can be to get out on your own, so I guess I'm also excited for them.  Also, having this opportunity so early on in their lives is so great!  We will of course miss them SO MUCH!  They drove off in their little car packed with everything they need for the next few months on Monday the 4th.  5-2-2026

BARBECUE AND GAMES WITH WOOLSEYS
This was a good distraction from having to say goodbye to Kelly and Devan.  We went to their house for some yummy food and then over to Gailey Park for some Badmitton.  This was a new one for us, but it was really fun!  I think everyone liked it!  It was fun to have Brad with us for part of it as well!  Good times.  5-4-2026

LUNCH WITH JULIE CLEMENS
It's always such a good recharge spending time with Julie.  She is one of those keeps ya grounded friends.  I loved hearing how she is doing and her awesome example of just trucking on in life even through so many trials.  She's amazing!!  I just love that she will still make time for me and that she is my friend!  Love ya, Julz!!  5-5-2026

MOUNTAIN MAN RENDEZVOUS MEETING
This meeting was a bit of a bummer.  We basically decided not to bother with the fish pond.  Things just weren't working out at all.  The fish were a fortune, the timing was off when they could drop it off.  I couldn't get the big trough, the new location of everything was lame.  All of it.  I don't think very many moms really wanted it anyway.  But I was bummed.  5-5-2026

LUNCH WITH MEGAN WALTER
This was kind of random.  We had texted for a few minutes and ended up planning lunch and then rescheduling a few times before finally making it to Kneaders for lunch.  She is really fun to talk to, though!  I was very glad we made the time.  I really enjoy her friendship and I'm glad I was able to meet her at Girls camp last year.  We need to do this again soon.  5-6-2026

THE PARK WITH BRIGGS
This was a lot of fun.  We even had quite a few big kids with us!  Which is always more fun.  Courtney and Briggs met up with us at the new Farmington park- should we call it North Cottonwood park?  I think that's what it's called- so strange.  We had a lot of fun talking though!  It was great!  Briggs is adorable.  I'm so happy he likes my kids and that we get to spend time with them.  5-9-2026

SOCCER
Soccer season has been going good so far!  Molly had to do the treat this week and she just HAD to make something homemade, so she did Muddy Buddies in little bags for everyone.  So cute!!  Turned out great!  5-9-2026

GRANDPA HATCH'S 71st BIRTHDAY
We met up at Mueller Park for some hamburgers and cake :).  I made a chess board cake- it turned out okay.  Not quite how I'd imagined.  And it melted pretty quickly in the heat.  We had fun though!  It's always good to spend time with Grandpa and Steve.  5-9-2026

BRAD'S TENS UNIT
After Grandpa's Party everyone got a little crazy with the tens unit.  Watching people try to drink water while they're being shocked is really funny.  5-9-2026

MOTHER'S DAY!!
I loved my Mother's Day this year!!  As always it was perfect!  Breakfast in bed, showered with gifts, church with my new bag that Molly made me, in tow.  Games and fun all evening.  Nate took the day off even so that he could help spoil me- it was great!!  I just love my family and I love being a mom!  5-10-2026

MOLLY'S DECATHLON, SADIE'S ZOO FIELD TRIP, NOAH'S AP TEST
This was a crazy Monday!  Nate and I had to divide and conquer with the decathlon and the field trip- I went with Molly, Nate with Sadie.  Molly did amazing!  Her team got 4th place which is pretty awesome!!  I loved watching her compete- she seemed to enjoy it along with some nervousness.  I heard the zoo field trip was also great!  Noah did his AP test without any extra help from his doctor note- took it just like anybody else even though he could have had more time, spread out, etc. because of his stroke.  He's pretty cool.  And since I'm typing this up since he got his results, he got a 5!!  Pretty proud of him!!  Go Noah!!  5-11-2026

ERIKA PT
We finally have some answers about Erika's knees- tendonitis in both knees.  Brian Pennock says shock therapy will be the best thing for it, so we will be starting that soon.  5-13-2026

MOUNTAIN MAN RENDEZVOUS
It came!!  I didn't die not having the fish pond.  I was glad :).  Instead, I worked with Stefani's father-in-law on the leather stamping station.  The kids liked it, it was easy, fun, and very mountain man-ly.  Molly was happy to have me there.  It was great!  And so easy :).  I came back to help with the trading post as well, and this was pretty fun too.  I didn't do much, just set up and then sat and played with the puzzle/games with some of the kids.  Molly was so nice to make me feel welcome and sit by me a few times.  She got to buy lots of fun things with her beaver pelts.  It was really fun!  I will admit it went better than I thought it would.  5-13-2026

We had our two minute zoom appointment with Dr. Swinyard.  This was lame.  I'm not gonna lie- I am so at my wits end with the endocrinologist search!  This is killing me.  I am hoping we can find someone aweosme, but it's getting so frustrating.  Poor Jack.  He really liked Dr. Swinyard.  5-14-2026

MAYCEMBER CONTINUES- PICNIC ON THE PLAYGROUND
This was a fun picnic.  We got all kinds of food for everyone.  I don't even remember now, but I think we actually went with a dessert pizza again.  We sat off to the side of everyone else, since there was a little shade, but we missed out on the neighbor group.  Erika and Jack stopped by.  We were happy and all was well.  It's fun to think about summer almost being here.  5-15-2026

HAPPY 25th ANNIVERSARY TO US!!  
I hope I have some sort of documentation somewhere of what we did to celebrate- my mind is blank (it has been almost five months!).  We managed to squeeze in something though- I know we did.  And I think I got Nate a gift.  But it's all a blur right now.  I love Nate!  I am so happy I chose him.  5-15-2026

LACROSSE TEAM BANQUET
This was great!  Nate made the meat and buns at Karen Wright's request.  It was fun to celebrate Erika.  Kelly got to be here for it as well and that was awesome.  I am trying to remember what she had come back for- I think it was Paige's wedding.  But she was here for the banquet and that was awesome.  Erika got a cool award, can't remember what it was.  The weird guy did the weird raps for all the seniors.  We had fun sitting with Krista and Emily.  It was great :).  5-16-2026

NOAH SEMINARY GRADUATION
He did it!!  He graduated Seminary!  And I survived making a balloon arch with my presidency even though we didn't need to- it was completely my fault that we had one.  My brain has been so strange lately.  Doing some weird things.  I loved watching Noah walk across the stage- he looks all grown up!!  It's so crazy how real things are getting.  We had yummy refreshements that I picked up :).  It was great!  Congrats Noah!  5-17-2026

FIELD DAY
This field day was pretty fun- I had Erika there with me for most of it and Kelly came too.  We had fun running the Obstacle course for the first group and then 9 square for the second half even though my two kids were in the first group.  We had fun though.  I only got mad at a few kids that day :).  Improvement.  5-19-2026

NOAH'S MISSION PHOTOSHOOT

ELEMENTARY WALK- NOAH
This is a fun tradition now- Noah got to get all dressed up in his cap and gown and go parade around the Elementary school and in their assembly.  It was a lot of fun to see him with all his Elementary friends again.  They loved wandering the halls and visiting old teachers.  They were hilarious high fiving all the kids as they went back to their classes.  All the jokes about how many germs they would have on their hands after that.  So funny.  I loved it.  Some of the pictures turned out.  My phone still has a massive crack on it!  5-20-2026

JACK BROKEN ANKLE
Jack was playing capture the flag over at the Maughan's and jumped off the deck, just a few steps high, and landed wrong on his ankle.  Nate had to help him walk home.  He was hurt pretty bad and I was pretty sure it was broken, but we waited til the next day to take him in.  Just in case we didn't have enough going on that day!!  We went to the doctor and sure enough, it was a distal tibial fracture.  Right by the growth plate.  Luckily it wasn't displaced at all.  They told him to use a boot and stay off it completely.  5-21-2026

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!!
Sadie got a field trip to Ponds Park.  Molly got a field trip to Gailey Park.  I got to go do a mini photoshoot with Noah in his cap and gown in the backyard.  Tradition.  And then we raced off to Graduation!  5-22-2026

NOAH'S GRADUATION!!!
Noah's Graduation went really smoothly.  It was strange that it was later in the day, but it worked.  He left a little early with friends.  Brad drove me up to Dee Events Center and we found seats for everyone.  We sat there, saving seats, much to EVERYONE's dismay, up by the handicapped section so that we could have Ruth's scooter there next to us.  It was a great spot- I think it's the same spot we've had at all of them.  Noah looked all grown up in his walk and so handsome in his picture.  It was fun to find him through the zoom lens and see him wave at us when he found us.  Pretty cool.  We went to Buffalo Wild Wings after for dinner.  He had lots of support from Nate, me, Charity, Hunter, Bradley, Grandpa Hatch, Grandma Hatch and Simon, and Grandma Ruthie.  So fun!  Congratulations Noah!!  Class of 2026!!!  5-22-2026

PROJECTOR MOVIE NIGHT
We did our usual projector movie night on the last day of school tradition again this year.  It was a little tricky with graduation being so late, so we had to rush home from dinner to get things set up.  The girls had taken invites to school so we had a GOOD turnout!  So many kids!  I really can't believe how many 1st graders showed up at our house and stayed til the late late hours of the night!  We watched Super Mario Bros 2.  There were a few dramatic moments with Liberty and Lincoln.  But overall it went well.  I'm still shocked at how many showed up.  Good thing we got plenty of popcorn!!  Good times.  5-22-2026

MOTHER'S DAY LUNCH WITH MOM
I took my mom to lunch for Mother's day.  She wanted somewhere with salads, so we went to Zupas.  It was delicious.  I made her try the Dubai Chocolate strawberries.  I think we had a good time.  5-23-2026

This was nice.  I don't think Nate was able to come even though his schedule has been so different these past few months with his new position.  But the kids and I had fun.  Yummy food too.  5-25-2026

MEMORIAL DAY 
We met up with Grandpa and his new friend Laurie at Nana's grave.  This was a different kind of visit with Nana.  I wish we could have had her all to ourselves.  But I'm glad my dad has friends.  I think we went up to Lynn's for a Memorial day barbecue in the evening.  We had a good time.  I think I spent most of the time talking with Charity.  It was nice.  I got to see Maryn's baby also.  So cute.  5-25-2026

NOAH SENIOR TRIP
Noah and his friends planned a pretty fun senior trip to San Diego the week after graduation.  We were sad to see him go, but I think he had a really good time!  They had some funny moments planning talking about food and where to get food.  I was happy to hear that Noah knows how to conserve and be frugal.  I was really proud of how awesome they did and that they came home all in one piece.  5-25-2026--5-29-2026

We had Jack's appointment with Primary Childrens Orthopedics.  This was a long drive to Salt Lake, a LONG walk through the hospital- pretty much as far as you can walk in that hospital- that ended in a cast!  Poor guy. I did manage to find him a scooter so that he can still get around when we go places.   5-28-2026

PARK WITH HEIDI AND GRANDMA AND SIMON
We had some fun meeting up with Heidi and Grandma and Simon at the new Farmington park.  They had some fun.  Jack rode around on his scooter which was nice.  5-29-2026

STAKE CONFERENCE
We survived another Stake Conference.  I don't know why I said that.  Stake Conference is great!  I love it!  We had a really good evening session that I barely made it to and sat by myself basically.  Getting used to that.  We had Elder Larreal there and he was awesome!  I actually really loved his talks.  The morning training meeting was also awesome.  I got to sit by Martha there.  And then back in the back with the family in the dark for the Sunday session.  Noah was sustained as an Elder.  Went well.  I enjoyed it.  Everyone did so well.  5-30-2026--5-31-2026

NOAH'S ORDINATION TO ELDER
This went really well.  Noah was all business and so grown up through the whole thing. I know I keep saying that, but he really is just so old all of a sudden.  I'm really proud of him and the choices he's making and steps he's taking to better his life.  He will do some pretty great things, no doubt.  I loved hearing what the Lord wanted to bless him with that day.  It was just our family, I think Brad got to ordain him which was also a really cool mom paycheck.  I loved that.  Cool stuff.  5-31-2026

April 2026

 SPRING BREAK CONT.
I made "spaghetti and meatballs" pancakes for April Fools breakfast.  Everyone had fun pulling pranks all day.  Mostly just putting toilet paper all over the house.  We also went to Chick-fil-a and the Planetarium with Grandpa Hatch.  That was a lot of fun!  Good times.  Thursday, we had lunch with Grandma Ruthie (and Aunt Jen and Nancy), before dropping Nate off at work and then stopping at the Church Art and History Museum on our way home.  That was pretty fun too.  On Friday we WEnt and got Steve and went and saw the new Super Mario Bros movie.  This was a major highlight!  We really should have done lunch or something too, but we had fun.  It was a good movie, just a LOT.  Maybe a little over stimulating.  That night we did Buddy Dates!!  Everyone was so happy about this- it ended up being pretty fun.  Nate and I had each other.  Brad and Kelly went thrift shopping and dinner.  Erika and Sadie went to mini golf and Chick-fil-a.  Jack and Hunter stayed home and got Chick-fil-a delivered and played video games.  Charity and Noah went to get food.  Molly and Devan went to Dylans and mini golf.  I think everyone had a good time!!  We magically had enough cars and drivers for this.  Good times.  4-1-26--4-3-26

EASTER SATURDAY
This was a packed day.  Conference in the morning.  Then we had Courtney, Brett and Briggs come for a morning egg hunt in the front yard and some yummy egg salad sandwich lunch.  This was a lot of fun!  I was so glad we made it happen.  It was cool that Courtney kind of invited herself to hang out for Easter.  Good stuff.  After that we had the next session of conference.  We did our Easter baskets and Egg hunt in the backyard- this was fun because we changed it up a bit with a fun game and spelling out the words of prizes with letters in the eggs.  Pretty fun.  And then we finally colored the eggs!  That was pretty fun too.  Everyone but Noah I think.  And Luke- we miss him so much this time of year!!  4-4-26

EASTER SUNDAY
We really tried to make this Easter a Christ focused one.  I got a cute book at Deseret Book with a lot of the symbols of Easter and we read a page each night.  Then we had the new creche that Nate bought and tried to really make an effort.  We did all the commercial stuff on Saturday so that we could really do Resurrection Easter on Sunday.  I think we did pretty good.  I think we want to add and do it even better next year.  We're getting there though.  We did get to watch the second day of Conference though which was awesome!  Such a good conference this time!!  4-5-26

MINISTERING
I finally got to meet Elizabeth Walker.  She is interesting and very nice.  Kris and I visited her.  It was nice to get to know her a little.  4-8-26

SOCCER SEASON!

PROM- ERIKA AND NOAH IN THE SAME GROUP!
This was a fun one for me.  Noah and Erika were in the same group!  Noah took Laurie and Erika was asked by Zack Geckler's brother Josh.  I think they both had enough fun.  It wasn't Erika's favorite, but she survived.  They went to the salt flats for their day date.  Then the night of, I got to take their group pictures!  We went up to the Tunnel Springs Park.  We were there at just the wrong time.  The lighting was difficult.  But we made it work and caught some golden hour at the end.  I loved it.  4-11-26

I said no to doing a skit and now I am down a friend.  Kinda weird, but I guess I should learn to "do my part".  Not sure how I feel about this all right now.  Oh well.  4-12-26

LUKE'S FUNNY STORIES
Luke's had some pretty fun stories to share with us when he calls.  One was about a pregnant cat who showed up on a porch the same time as him and his companion.  They were knocking and the people had peeked out the blinds to tell them they didn't want to talk to them, but Luke asked if that was their cat instead.  It was looking pretty sickly.  So they opened the door afterall, and right then, this mom cat, gave birth!  The woman at the door was shocked!  Luke was shocked!  Then all the chaos of the family's dog coming to the door and then the cat started to walk in their house.  It was so crazy!!  Luke felt horrible.  The people assured him that they had it from there.  So crazy!
Then there was this Nigerian lady who was slurping on chicken wings (her snack, not food), and then chomped on a bone in the middle of Luke's companion's testimony!  So funny!!  Throwing the bones behind her back- HA!  Fun stuff.  4-13-26

PORTER'S BAPTISM
Sadie and I drove up to Idaho Falls, Saturday, for Porter's baptism.  We had so much fun talking on the way there, and listening to all of Sadie's favorite music- mostly Greatest Showman.  The baptism went really well.  It was cute to see Porter in his white clothes.  He took it all very seriously.  Cute Alyssa didn't want to just sit quietly, so we got a fun show during the second half of things, but she was being so cute with Sadie.  After the baptism, we went to their church for some yummy food.  It was fun to talk with Heidi a little and get to know Joe a little better too.  Sadie had fun running around the gym and stage with all the kids.  Good times.  We had to hurry home for Ruth's FUNeral planning meeting.  4-18-2026

FAMILY HISTORY- MOLLY
Molly has been anticipating getting called into the Family History Consultant group for a while now, but this week we got to have her "experience" with them coming and teaching our family.  It was a lot of fun.  It's cool to have all these great kids for her to look up to and anticipate working with eventually.  4-19-26

LUNCH WITH ELDER ALLRED'S MOM, GINNY
This ended up being a really cool experience.  Luke's companion just really loved Luke and had begged his mom to get together with Luke's mom sometime.  She finally called me Saturday, wanting to "get together sometime", so I said, "Sure."  I really liked talking to her- we had a bunch of stuff in common- they live just over the freeway- so I figured it could be okay.  We met up at Zupas and it was really awesome!  I liked it.  She was so nice and so complimentary of Luke.  I wish Luke had talked about Elder Allred a little more so I could have returned the compliments, but it was to hear.  I wonder if we will ever get together again.  4-23-2026

TULIP FESTIVAL
This was a pretty fun evening.  It had been raining all day so there was hardly anyone there.  It was still a little cold, but not too bad.  I actually really loved the weather.  The tulips looked pretty ragged and weren't really worth seeing, but I loved the time with our family.  We went to a yummy restaurant after, but I can't remember what it was called.  So delicious.  4-27-2026

NOAH'S SENIOR PHOTO SHOOT
We finally took Noah's Senior Pictures!  We went up to Tunnel Springs Park.  They turned out SO GOOD!!  I was really pleased with most of them.  He was really helpful with settings while we took them and then helped with the editing and chose the background and everything for his announcements.  I was so happy to do that with him and have his input!!  Good boy!  4-29-2026

March 2026

 CHINESE NEW YEAR

We were invited to Simon and my mom's for Chinese New Year celebrations.  We had fun.  Everyone got their lucky money- except Charity and Kelly- we were not sure why, but maybe because we are supposed to give them money?  Not sure.  Hunter read all the horoscopes or something for all the different year animals (what is this called?  I forgot?).  That was pretty fun.  We have several of the same animal- kinda cool.  3-1-26

DR. SWINYARD FOR JACK
This was a pretty anticipated visit.  We LOVED Dr. Brett, so we were lowering our expectations all the way to this South Jordan office.  It was quite the drive.  I was not sure how I felt about it during the first little bit, the office ladies were so strange.  The aid was having me do Jack's finger poke.  The place looked like it had come right out of the 90's- lots of mauve and flowers.  I wasn't impressed AT ALL with the office set up.  But all it took was a few minutes with this guy and we were hooked!  He came in talking all about how awesome Jack is and how good his A1C is and how hard he's worked.  It was so awesome.  He gave me a minute and praised me for all that I have done for Jack.  That was nice.  Brought me to tears.  He used some archery analogies with blood sugar and target range.  That was cool.  Then sat and talked to Jack like a friend, about his mission in Germany and how he was diagnosed while he was there.  He was SO NICE!  SO fun.  So awesome.  We were so relieved on the way home.  Felt like we'd been led there.  Jack was still smiling when we left.  3-2-26

SEASON CHAMPS!!  
Noah's Farmington rec basketball team won their game tonight!!  Making them the Champions!!  Pretty cool.  They got shirts and water bottles :).  This was actually such a highlight for Noah's last basketball season probably ever.  I loved watching him play, hated thinking about how I probably won't get to watch him play ever again, but cheered hard!  It was a pretty controversial game!  So fun though!!  Congrats Noah!!  3-4-26

KYLE'S CAKE
I volunteered to make a cake for Kyle Desmond this week for his birthday.  That ended up being a little bit more trouble than I had first anticipated.  The colors he chose didn't fit the toppers they gave me.  It was tricky.  But I think he liked it!  I am happy to help with cakes!  3-5-26

LUNCH WITH KRISTA JOHNSON
We finally found time to hang out!  It was so nice.  We went to Plates and Palates.  It was really good to talk to her and get some insight into my calling.  She is a good friend, can't wait for her wedding!  Erika's Olympus game was canceled because of the weather- pretty weak.  3-6-26

TOOELE COUNTY REPORT- MOLLY
We decided to make a day of researching Molly's county.  We headed out to Tooele, drove all the way to the Salt Flats.  Molly got to lick the salt.  We drove back toward Tooele city and saw the temple and crashed Kregg Clemens' birthday party for a minute to hug Julie and talk to Lacie.  We got some Costa Vida and tried to see the firefighter museum but it was not open.  Then we just came back home.  I think we got enough to write a report :).  Molly loved it!  I think most of the kids felt like it was too long of a drive, but we all survived, so we're good!  We had Brad, Erika, Jack, Molly and Sadie with us.  Good stuff.  3-7-26

CRAZY SUNDAY
Once a year Martha has to be gone for Stake High Council meeting.  So I got to go Sunday.  It was at 6:30 in the morning!  So early!  Pretty boring.  This one was even stranger than the last one.  We mostly just talked about whether we thought someone could be called to the high council or not.  I don't evne know the guy.  

After that, we had ward conference at Hidden Valley- I didn't have to say anything, but mingling witht he girls is almost as nerve-racking.  Our ward conferences have been going really well this year!  I like what we did and that we did it with the YM.  

I slipped in to a little bit of our ward for Sacrament meeting and some of YW, and then slipped back out to go do a ward conference in Nichols Hollow ward.  

After that, Erika and I raced over to Teresa Nye's for a ministering visit, then off to church for Prep for Life!  Where we did cereal for the treat.  That was pretty fun actually.  So crazy!

After that we went up to Ruth's for the family meeting.

CHARITY'S BIRTHDAY- NO SCHOOL!
We had a great day, laid around a lot.  I made her the prettiest cake I think I've made.  It was so fun!  I really like to do the stripes!  Then that evening we headed down to Orem for some Costa Vida and then hanging out at Charity and Hunter's house for some cake and ice cream.  So much fun!  Grandpa even came!  Kelly and Erika had Lacrosse stuff so the three of them met up later for some celebrating.  I think everyone else was there.  3-9-26 

LACROSSE

We're having such a fun Lacrosse season this year!!  Watching Erika play two games every few days and getting to see Kelly coach again.  It's been so much fun!  Minus Erika's injuries.  We really need to get her stuff figured out.  3-10-26

MOLLY'S 4TH GRADE PROGRAM
This ended up being so much fun!!  Molly had worked so hard learning these songs!  She knew all the words!  It was very impressive.  Molly got to hold up the Tooele sign cuz that was her county, but there was a lady sitting next to Kelly and Erika who did not like that we were getting all excited about Tooele.  Kinda funny.  We went to Dairy Queen after to celebrate!  3-12-26

SICK DAY ZOOM CLASS
Jack and I got to experience ANOTHER sick day class.  This was a repeat.  I don't know if it's because we're new there, or if they just don't trust that we've been taught properly.  But it was super boring.  We thought we had the camera turned off the whole time and who knows what faces we made the whole time, but then at the end, she mentioned that "Jack looks tired" and we were both shocked!  I hope she was just pranking us, but she may have been watching us the whole time.  Kinda funny.  3-16-26

BASKETBALL BANQUET
They catered this with Cafe Rio and we sat and talked to the Maughans waiting for the line to die down, so we missed most of the food.  There was very little left.  Lots of lettuce of course.  Nothing else.  Kind of a bummer.  But it was fun to celebrate Erika- she got her award- I'll have to remember what she got.  It was fun to hear from all the captains.  Cute girls.  Here's to another good basketball season!  3-16-26

KELLY HISTEROSCOPY
I got to take Kelly to her procedure and be there for the funnies when she woke up.  It was a fun flash back to the good ol' days when we'd hang out more often.  Everything looked good- they raked and got things all ready for planting.  3-19-26

PLEASANT GROVE AWAY GAME
Things were crazy trying to make this game happen- our attending and cheering anyway.  One of the things we had to coordinate was getting Molly to and from Kenzie's Get Air birthday party.  Thankfully, Grandma was all over that.  Such a relief.  We loved this game, minus the annoying whistling guy behind us.  I wanted to murder him.  We had fun together though.  Devan is always fun to talk to at the games and Brad showed up near the end of this one.  Jack and Molly and I did lots of AI trivia.  Pretty fun.  And we remembered snacks!  3-20-26

CHAIR SOCCER WITH THE HATCHES
The Hatches shared their first day here with us- we all went and played Chair Soccer at the church.  It was difficult getting into the building with the new key situation, and with Nate being released, we weren't able to get in with the app because we didn't reserve it soon enough.  But Bro.  Schiess kindly opeened the building for us.  Grandpa thought that was pretty rude of me to make him do that.  But we had fun!  Good times with the Hatches!  Too bad they don't live closer.  3-21-26

LAST WARD CONFERENCE

We had Creekview ward conference today.  I had to do the closing section.  I think it went pretty well.  I was happy I thought to read the part from Luke's letter that I loved.  He was talking about how he only knows a little bit of Spanish, but what he does know he was able to say to someone and felt the spirit so strongly.  I got to have a kid who was just recently called to a spanish speaking mission and is learning Spanish.  So that was fun.  Joe didn't take near as long as I thought he was going to, but we ended on time.  And we're DONE!  3-22-26

I love going to lunch with Annie- She is the best!!  We just see things so much the same, it's nice.  I love her!!  3-23-26

Nate and I got to go to the temple with Brent and Sarah and the Ritchies and Kelly and Devan also came.  So awesome!  Sister Ritchie is my favorite.  It was so nice.

I got all new people and partner and so we had a little lunch with a bunch of them, Melissa Giatras, Rhonda Naylor at Kris Pederson's house.  It was good, but also not.  But it went just fine.  I need to get to know Rhonda.  3-27-26

DECATHLONG TRYOUTS
I brought Erika and Brad with me and we went to the school and ran some of the events for the Decathlon tryouts.  It was so much fun!  Molly will definitely make it.  3-27-26

IZZY'S BAPTISM

This was a really fun event for everyone.  Most of us got to go.  It was just Izzy, so everything was done by the family.  Brent gave a nice talk and we go to see Alyssa, Porter and Heidi and met Heidi's new husband, Joe.  Izzy seemed to like the 8 cake I made her.  It was a LOT of fun and SOOOOO EASY!!  We had to say goodbye to the Hatches after, which was pretty sad.  We really need to plan a trip to Oregon soon.  3-28-26

We had a fun break this year.  The perfect mix of fun and relaxing.  Monday we went to the D.I. and got Book of Mormons to paint for FHE.  This was a REALLY fun activity!!  Everyone's looked so cool!  I have Sand Volleyball on my calendar, but I really don't remember doing that.  Nobody can confirm it for me.  3-30-26

LINDON TEMPLE OPEN HOUSE
We got most of us out and down to Lindon for the temple open house!  This was kind of last minute, but I was so happy we made it work.  We stopped at Smoked Taco for lunch.  SO yummy.  3-31-26
